RYA Start Yachting
A sailing course for beginners
This is the ideal first step for anyone who wishes experience sailing a yacht. It is a relaxed, ‘no pressure’ but hands-on way to find out what is involved in sailing a modern yacht and our experienced instructors will ensure that you enjoy every exciting moment.
The RYA Start Yachting course provides a safe and friendly introduction to sailing. You will experience helming a yacht, sail handling, rope work and become introduced to onboard safety.
Once you have successfully completed the course you will be awarded the RYA Start Yachting certificate.
The yacht you will sail on is a Reflex 38 which can sleep up to 8 people however in line with RYA guidelines we do not exceed 5 students per course.
The course includes:
• meals and refreshments on board
• a professional instructor
• all safety equipment
• RYA Start Yachting certificate
• Foul weather clothing can be hired if required
This is a great way to experience the world of yachting and to build your knowledge and skills.
